{"id":9766,"date":"2017-08-10T14:38:48","date_gmt":"2017-08-10T13:38:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.devopsonline.co.uk\/?p=9766"},"modified":"2017-08-10T14:38:48","modified_gmt":"2017-08-10T13:38:48","slug":"velocity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/devopsnews.online\/velocity\/","title":{"rendered":"APEX releases GageMap version 2017.3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>High cycle fatigue and vibration test solutions supplier, APEX Turbine Testing Technologies, has released its new product version of Mesh-Free FEA Post Analysis Gage Map.<\/p>\n<p>Finite element post processing tool, GageMap, created its version 2017.2, which extends model support through its American Computer-aided Engineering Software Developer (ANSYS) version 18.1, and its Finite-element Computer Code (ABAQUS) version 14, making \u201csignificant speeding improvements\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The new GageMap release includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Improved model animation speeds<\/li>\n<li>Multi-threaded processing<\/li>\n<li>More accurate sensor mapping<\/li>\n<li>Support for really large models<\/li>\n<li>Added colour specification features<\/li>\n<li>Support for the ANSYS materials definition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Lead developer of the GageMap software, Joseph Honea, said to the <em>Digital Journal<\/em>: \u201cWith a growing dependence on even larger and more complex finite element models, GageMap needed to evolve to continue to give our customers a user experience they have grown accustomed to.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The most notable improvements were made to \u00a0the quantity optimiser and the mode superposition algorithms.
