Entries will open 1 March.<\/p>\n<p>The awards ceremony will take place 18 October.<\/p>\n<h2>Meet Keith Watson \u2013 our judge from ADP UK<\/h2>\n<p>Keith Watson, Director of DevOps at ADP UK, will be one of this year\u2019s judges at the upcoming award ceremony. He will be looking for \u201cgood write ups that highlight the differences between Dev and Ops that need to be addressed, and how each organisation has bridged that cultural divide.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI enjoy hearing about other people\u2019s journeys in DevOps. It\u2019s always exciting to see how each company approaches DevOps because you can learn so much yourself from each award submission,\u201d says Watson in response to being asked why he chose to become a judge.<\/p>\n<p>When discussing ADP UK\u2019s DevOps journey, Watson said, \u201cWe definitely have a lot further to go. Each team has made a lot of progress in different parts of the company. What we want to do is understand and replicate that progress on each product. We understand the benefits of moving towards continuous delivery and the need for an integrated approach in the deployment pipeline. We\u2019ve implemented some of the cool tools and DevOps techniques, but we want to make that consistent across different products. We also want to make sure that it affects the whole of the deployment and release process rather than just parts of the pipeline.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>12 exciting categories to enter<\/h2>\n<p>You will be able to enter 12 different categories at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.devopsindustryawards.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">DevOps Industry Awards 2017<\/a>, ranging from Best DevOps Automation Project to DevOps Team of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>If you work in a specific sector, then there are also categories reflecting the Best Overall DevOps Project in Finance, Retail, Gaming, Public Sector or Communication.<\/p>\n<h2>The DevOps Industry Awards are here to stay<\/h2>\n<p>Being launched this year, entries for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.devopsindustryawards.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">DevOps Industry Awards<\/a>, which celebrates companies, individuals and teams who have accomplished significant achievements in the DevOps space, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.devopsindustryawards.com\/about\/entry-process\/\" target=\"_blank\">open on 1 March 2017.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>As a judge at this year\u2019s DevOps Industry Awards, Watson firmly believes in the need for collaboration, as \u201cthere\u2019s often a heavy emphasis in DevOps on the use of tools, but actually DevOps is also about collaboration across departments and cultures, including different geographies and time zones.<\/p>\n<p>Entries need to be submitted by the 14<sup>th<\/sup> of July 2017, and the winners will be announced at the Gala Dinner on Wednesday 18 October 2017.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Press release written by <a href=\"https:\/\/plus.google.com\/u\/0\/104514721381758061808\" target=\"_blank\">Jordan Platt<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Arriving in style, the DevOps Industry Awards are set to take the industry by storm, shining a light on both Dev and Ops teams bridging the gap between the two cultures.
