Sky Betting & Gaming has welcomed 25 new technology graduate employees to Wellington Place in Leeds for the start of a new Software Academy.<\/p>\n
The programme begins\u00a0with 14 weeks of fast-track training, followed by placements within all the major technology teams.\u00a0Four learning streams will cover software engineering, software engineer in test, DevOps and test engineer, as well as covering a variety of topics in agile, lean, business skills, databases, scalability and software testing.<\/p>\n
Graduates will also learn to code Ruby and JavaScript.<\/p>\n

By offering such high quality placements, we\u2019ve not only been able to hold on to home grown graduates from our local universities, but also to attract those from further afield.\u201d<\/p>\n
The programme will last for 12 months and graduates will learn about Sky Betting & Gaming\u2019s lean and agile methodologies and improve their general business skills.<\/p>\n
A significant 17 \u2013 or just under 70% – of the graduates came from universities in Yorkshire, including Hull University, Leeds Beckett University, Leeds University, Sheffield University, Sheffield Hallam University and Bradford University.<\/p>\n

Like many other tech companies in the region we are finding recruiting the right people increasingly difficult.
