{"id":14128,"date":"2018-11-08T11:26:44","date_gmt":"2018-11-08T10:26:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.devopsonline.co.uk\/?p=14128"},"modified":"2018-11-14T10:57:07","modified_gmt":"2018-11-14T09:57:07","slug":"security-software-provider-checkmarx-acquires-custodela","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/devopsnews.online\/security-software-provider-checkmarx-acquires-custodela\/","title":{"rendered":"Security software provider Checkmarx acquires Custodela"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Checkmarx, a security software provider, has announced via a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20181107005247\/en\/Checkmarx-Acquires-Custodela-Bring-Enhanced-Automation-DevSecOps\">press release<\/a> that they have signed a definitive agreement to acquire Custodela, an Ontario based provider of software program and consulting services for DevSecOps.<\/p>\n<p>According to the release, the deal will bring DevSecOps integration to a licence management and software exposure risk program.<\/p>\n<p>The acquisition allows Checkmarx to empower CIOS and CISOs to focus on accelerating security deployment and automation.<\/p>\n<p>Checkmarx claims that their platform-centric approach helps keeps organisations&#8217; security in check and allows businesses to concentrate on delivering high-quality innovation.<\/p>\n<p>Emmanuel Benzaquen, CEO, Checkmarx said: \u201cCustodela\u2019s expertise in software security architecture and software development extends Checkmarx\u2019s reach deeper into the DevSecOps program development and services space. The team\u2019s methodologies will support and contribute towards Checkmarx\u2019s mission to transform software security to help businesses fight software exposure and deliver secure software faster.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cImplementing automation into DevSecOps processes is a critical challenge for most organisations,\u201d said Ken McDonald, CTO and co-founder, Custodela. \u201cWe are excited to join Checkmarx to help advance the automation capabilities in the Software Exposure Platform and deliver premium service offerings to help customers mature their software security programs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Financial terms of the deal were not revealed in the press release.<\/p>\n<p>Checkmarx has 1,400 organisations around the globe that rely on the company to identify, evaluate, and to monitor risk factors.<\/p>\n<p>The software company is partnered with five of the world\u2019s top 10 software vendors, four of the most prominent banks in America, government organisations and Fortune 500 enterprises, including SAP, Samsung, and Salesforce.com.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Checkmarx, a security software provider, has announced via a recent press release that they have signed a definitive agreement to acquire Custodela, an Ontario based provider of software program and consulting services for DevSecOps.
