{"id":10079,"date":"2017-09-12T13:00:01","date_gmt":"2017-09-12T12:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.devopsonline.co.uk\/?p=10079"},"modified":"2017-09-08T16:52:16","modified_gmt":"2017-09-08T15:52:16","slug":"stackpointcloud-offers-itsio-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/devopsnews.online\/stackpointcloud-offers-itsio-support\/","title":{"rendered":"StackPointCloud offers Itsio support"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For DevOps teams to monitor, deploy and maintain microservice-based applications, StackPointCloud is offering managed Istio support within its platform.<\/p>\n<p>Once the platform is running, in the space of minutes, users can monitor application performance issues, microservice policies from its control panel and dependencies between microservices, allowing DevOps teams to manage and deploy kubernetes-based applications, serverless infrastructure and workloads across cloud infrastructure platforms.<\/p>\n<p>With its support for Istio, Stackpoint users can now:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>More easily observe \u200adependencies between microservices and traffic flow<\/li>\n<li>Identify issues within their apps, saving the business time and keeping users happy<\/li>\n<li>Introduce policy enforcement to ensure services are doing what they\u2019re supposed to<\/li>\n<li>Maintain encryption using mTLS<\/li>\n<li>Combine Istio with other cloud-native tools such as \u200aPrometheus, Calico and EFK;<\/li>\n<li>Secure any of their microservices, including that \u201csuper custom\u201d widget app<\/li>\n<li>Combine Istio with other pre-configured solutions from the Stackpoint Marketplace\u200a, including GitLab EE, Fabric8 and Kubeless<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Matt Baldwin, founder and CEO of StackPointCloud, said: \u201cWe don\u2019t look at Kubernetes as the end of the stack, but the platform on which a company\u2019s entire cloud-native environment can live.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo do this, users will need a service mesh.
