APEX releases GageMap version 2017.3

High cycle fatigue and vibration test solutions supplier, APEX Turbine Testing Technologies, has released its new product version of Mesh-Free FEA Post Analysis Gage Map.

Finite element post processing tool, GageMap, created its version 2017.2, which extends model support through its American Computer-aided Engineering Software Developer (ANSYS) version 18.1, and its Finite-element Computer Code (ABAQUS) version 14, making “significant speeding improvements”.

The new GageMap release includes:

  • Improved model animation speeds
  • Multi-threaded processing
  • More accurate sensor mapping
  • Support for really large models
  • Added colour specification features
  • Support for the ANSYS materials definition

Lead developer of the GageMap software, Joseph Honea, said to the Digital Journal: “With a growing dependence on even larger and more complex finite element models, GageMap needed to evolve to continue to give our customers a user experience they have grown accustomed to.

“The most notable improvements were made to  the quantity optimiser and the mode superposition algorithms. We also improved the graphical experience of model manipulation and added some additional customisation features.”
