US President to warn against cyberattacks from Russia

US President Joe Biden has recently urged local organizations to enhance their cyber security as Russia continues its invasion into Ukraine.

Indeed, the President warned that Russia could conduct malicious cyber activity against the US due to the sanctions imposed. It is then vital that the US private sector hardens its cyber defenses and lock its digital doors.

The Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has also started to secure its critical infrastructure organizations in order to protect its systems and networks.

The US government issued recommendations for organizations such as using multi-factor authentication, deploying modern security tools on computers and devices, checking with cybersecurity professionals to ensure all systems are patched and protected against all known vulnerabilities, updating passwords across networks, backing up data, and making sure offline backups are available, among other.
