Toyota VC to invest in AI startups for better processes

It was recently reported that Toyota Motor Corp’s first venture capital fund has started to invest in AI startups in order to help refine everyday processes with better supply-chain management and add robotics to the factory floor.

Indeed, Toyota AI Ventures fund has invested in 36 early-stage startups, such as self-driving car software firm Nauto, factory video analytics company Drishti, and air mobility firm Joby Aviation, to add artificial intelligence to its cars as the industry is turning towards self-driving cars.

Hence, this investment wants to lead Toyota to the top of the market in the industry by incorporating the latest technology available.
