Telstra Ventures invests in GitLab to achieve faster DevOps lifecycles

Telstra Ventures has invested in Gitlab for its core DevOps philosophy and to help support its entire development and operations lifecycle.

The investment came after Telstra Ventures led a US$43million Series D capital raising round for open networking software vendor, Cumulus Networks, bringing the firm’s total funding to US$129million.

GitLab wrote in a blog post: “Our focus on a collaborative approach gives development, quality assurance, security, and operations teams the ability to concurrently work on the same project within a single application and to see the entire workflow from their own point of view.

‘Software at speed’

“This investment from Telstra is an affirmation that we’re on the right track and will help accelerate our progress towards realising this vision.

“We’re happy that Telstra believes in our vision and our capability to enable software development teams to achieve faster DevOps lifecycles.”

More than 100,000 organisations also use Gitlab’s platform to deliver new software at speed, including Ticketmaster, ING, NASDAQ, Alibaba, Sony and Intel.
