TCS launches planning tool to assist with Agile transformation

Multinational IT company, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), has launched a new planning tool to help businesses succeed in DevOps.

Jile 3.0 is an Agile planning tool that has an inbuilt DevOps tool integration. It also claims to be scalable and “provides visibility into the entire software delivery pipeline.”

The service aims to help companies at all stages of their Agile process.

TCS’s new product responded to customer’s feedback by including new Agile features and configurable enterprise-level reports, as well as enhanced security and more integration capabilities.

It also allows for multi-level synchronised release planning, SAML based incorporation and supports REST API’s.

Reporting and dashboard features have also been included in the planning tool.

“Jile provides a scalable platform for companies to move forward and achieve enterprise agility,” said Vijayalakshmi Gopal, Business Head – Jile, TCS. “We have a deep-rooted vision for Jile backed by a monthly release cadence that incrementally delivers value to customers.”

This is TCS’s third updated release of Jile since August 2018.

The product was created as a way to assists companies to grow through their planning and development strategies, ultimately, increasing efficiency and reducing time to market.
