The popular search engine has paired up with the RaspberryPi team, to provide creative opportunities for developers, in order to make fun and engaging products.

They will soon be releasing a series of reference kits, but firstly a voice kit, in hope for developers to build voice command interfaces straight into products. Instead of apps, physical buttons and digital displays, it is so be used as the main control appliance.

Instructions to build a voice user interface (VUI) will be included in the kit, which will run completely on-device, or can be used on cloud services, such as Google Assistant SDK or Cloud Speech API.

It will be for sale at over 500 Barnes and Noble US stores, and at UK retailers WH Smith, Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s.
