Elizabeth Parks, senior vice-president at Parks Associates, said: “The IoT and connected home markets in Europe are trending in a positive direction, but potential barriers still include low consumer familiarity, privacy concerns, high upfront costs, and unclear value propositions.

“Success requires rethinking of many traditional revenue, service models, and product categories. CONNECTIONS Europe speakers are the leaders in innovative thinking and design to drive these markets forward.”

Tali Chen, CVP at DSP Group, added: “The most natural interface for people is voice, so it’s only logical that we capitalise on voice throughout the smart home.

“Smart homes will advance at a much faster pace with gateway voice devices, and users will have a much better experience given recent advances in technology and the proliferation of these IoT devices. We are thrilled to be driving this evolution with voice and ULE chipsets enabling the next generation of voice-enabled devices.

Chen also noted CONNECTIONS Europe is the “perfect” event to showcase expertise and leading presence in the smart home and IoT space.
