It was recently found out that a successful ransomware attack on a company has put in jeopardy at least 200 organizations.

It was reported that the attack was associated with the ransomware gang REvil and perpetuated through Kaseya, a company that controls programs and manage internet services for companies. Last Friday, Kaseya announced it has been hacked and asked all its customers to stop using its service.

It was then stated that the attack could potentially impact thousands of small businesses and that it could quickly spread internationally.

In order to mitigate the damage, the US cybersecurity and infrastructure security agency will be taking measures to understand and address the attack.
