Microsoft supports Azure Databricks

Databricks and Microsoft have launched Azure Databricks on Microsoft’s cloud platform.

Azure customers will be able to “spin up” Databricks “quicker than native Azure service”, according to The Register.

Azure Databricks aims to push the firm’s services “wider”, bringing more enterprise customers in security-driven sectors; while Microsoft sells, markets, deploys and supports the new cloud platform.

Microsoft also announced it has joined the MariaDB Foundation as a platinum member.
