Citrix ‘builds a relationship’ with Google Cloud

Multinational software company, Citrix, will be ‘building its relationship’ with Google Cloud customers, in a bid to introduce its cloud products to Google’s platform

Google Cloud customers will have access to Citrix’s services, helping manage digital workplaces in a highly secure environment.

Vice President of Global Strategic Alliances at Citrix, Steve Blacklock, said to CloudPro: “Companies of all sizes across all industries around the world have an amazing opportunity to embrace cloud transformation and empower their people to work securely from anywhere using digital workspaces.

“Our customers are asking Citrix and Google to work more closely together to deliver innovative solutions from the cloud to help them embrace the future of work.”

Hybrid and public customers will be able to use Google’s application and desktop cloud expertise with Citrix’s cloud-optimised endpoints, as well as a range of Citrix’s virtual apps and desktops, including Citrix Share File documents that can be used through Google Drive.

Head of Global Technology Partners at Google Cloud, Nan Boden, added: “Our collaboration with Citrix will help businesses of all types accelerate their transition to the cloud including the desktop infrastructure and applications that they want to use.”
