AWS to open new skills centre in Seattle to increase cloud computing training

It was recently announced that Amazon Web Services (AWS) will be opening a new skills centre in downtown Seattle in order to reduce the barriers to entry into the cloud computing industry.

Indeed, the centre will offer free training, career networking, and job placement events for anyone interested in a career in the cloud industry. It will also feature interactive exhibits on robotics, space, sports, and real-world applications of cloud technology. This centre will be the first of many to open across the US. By doing so, the centre will contribute to creating increased opportunities for individuals and communities around the world.

Besides, Amazon will also be launching a new digital learning experience called the AWS Skills Builder, expanding the AWS re/Start global reskilling programme. This aims to provide free cloud computing skills training to 29 million people by 2025.
