Westpac partners with Microsoft to expand its digital and multi-cloud strategy

It was recently announced that the bank Westpac has started a five-year partnership with Microsoft to extend its digital and hybrid multi-cloud strategy.

Indeed, the bank will be expanding the use of cloud-based systems through Microsoft Azure and bring its application, data, and AI capabilities in a more cohesive manner so it can be scaled across the enterprise. Besides, Westpac’s engineers will be able to receive training and education on Azure technologies through Microsoft’s enterprise skilling initiative.

By doing so, the bank aims to deliver more digital-to-the-core experiences for customers, including digital, mortgages, business lending, banking-as-a-service platform, artificial intelligence, and data. This collaboration will help improve real-time data and insights capabilities and build on their data-driven experiences platform.

Moreover, the training and development opportunities will drive upskilling and innovation.
