Counties in New Mexico and Arkansas victims of ransomware attacks

It was recently reported that two counties in New Mexico and Arkansas have been victims of ransomware attacks that affected government services.

Indeed, the counties were hit by a ransomware attack at the beginning of the year. All the affected systems were immediately taken offline and all the network connections were cut. Most county buildings are closed to the public and only emergency services are available.

The counties are currently working with vendors to respond to the incident, although no specific ransom demands were issued by the attackers.
