TVPlayer launches the UK’s first cloud-based recording service

TVPlayer is launching a new recording feature, allowing users to record their favourite TV shows in the cloud.

The network personal video recorder (nPVR) allows watchers to generate their own catch-up content.

10 hours of storage will be available to all paying customers, and an additional of 150 can be purchased for £5 per month.

Rob Hodgkinson, chief operating officer of TVPlayer, said to Broadband TV News: “We are excited to announce the UK’s first cloud-based recording service for live TV.

‘Freedom to watch favourite TV shows’

“This is a significant and ambitious extension of our current service offering. We are now giving consumers the freedom to watch their favourite TV shows whenever and wherever they want, whether in the comfort of their own homes or on the go, whether live or recorded.

“TVPlayer will continue to develop innovative products for our viewers who enjoy high-quality programming at reasonable prices.”

The platform is available for iOS, Freesat, Roku, Apple TV, Xbox, and Windows 10 users.
